===Add Prepaid Payment Option - allow micropayments

Add the possibility to transfer a bigger amount of money (20Eur) into one's 
user account. Then allow smaller jamendo-internal payments to artist's 
accounts from the user accounts. This would allow for donations smaller than 
5Eur by taking away the transaction costs per donation. This way users could 
donate to artists where they don't like to spend full 5Eur, e.g. if there's 
only one or two tracks they like. This surely would result in a lot more
donations and would reduce the barrier to donate greatly.

===Add search for multiple tags

Add the possibility to search music by multiple tags. A Search string could look like "rock, alternative, metal". It would make the search more precise.

===Make unlistened albums searchable and accessible/sortable by tags

If you click on "#### albums to be discovered" link you get a list of them and can browse through the listings. But the listed albums are obviously not sorted by any criteria (maybe by release date or are shuffled by intention). It would be great if one could search them and sort them by tags that you could pick in the tag cloud on the right lower side of the page. With that you could discover new music more easily.

===Make downloadable streamable playlists

Add a feature to download playlist files that stream songs.
(as far as I know, the Jamendo player is using a m3u file)
A direct link to the m3u files would give users ability to stream music from whatever player they want to use, giving users a much greater control of how they want the songs to be played (what order, randomly etc.)

If an album is accessed while a user is in an account then link "Play" is direct to the playlist m3u.  Load the playlist in any player to control the album music as a list.  In account edit preferences 'streaming format' is formats playlist mp3, ogg, xspf.

===Add IPv6 support

At the moment, more and more sites are making their servers IPv6 capable (http://ipv6.google.com, http://ipv6.thepiratebay.org). The main reason why I'd like to see Jamendo using IPv6 for the website and especially the torrent-trackers are the following: It is the next step to provide an internet where anyone can reach anyone in a very easy way.
Especially for the torrent-tracker (I'm a huge fan of the ogg-music-files provided by jamendo's tracker) it means, that there is for example no more port-forwarding needed. At the moment it can be the case, that there are people who want to share the music from Jamendo freely with each other using the decentral bittorrent network, but they could all be locked up by the routers using NAT between them. This is no problem with IPv6 anymore as any computer can have its own ip-address, therefore the access and routing becomes a lot simpler with IPv6.

===Missing API Methods

I'm trying to develop with the Jamendo API, but the API docu is not that detailed. It's rather confusing than helpful, and missing a lot features I think... If there would be a nicer documentation, more people would develop cool stuff I think, so please fill it up. Also I'm looking for a parameter to get only tags/albums/artist by the first character, it would be very helpful for me to perform a query only to get artist starting with 'a' (case insensitive would be great) or all tags with a non alpha char in the begining. I need this to perform smart querys with less data so keep it fast (also it dosn't generate that much load for jamendo). - ~Lossveril

===Allow users to add artist/album tags

If you allow members to add tags on each artist page, each artist can have its own cloud of tags. The bigger the tag in the cloud, the higher up the artist will be in a search for that tag.

===Categorising tags

Each artist can have a few categories of tags, such as "Genre", "Instrument", "Country", "Influences" etc. Then users can find bands more easily by searching for tags in each category.

==="Influences" tag category

Have a tag category called "influences" that users can add to each artist. This tag will be a mainstream artist that each user thinks is similar to the band in question, for example "Muse", "Madonna", "Moody Blues" etc. Then new users can search for the bands that they like and get bands that are similar. Just like Pandora!

===Jamendo Personal Music Player

A device like a personal music player. It would be very small and have WIFI or some other technology and a very simple interface.

It would store non of it's own music but would be connected to the web by WIFI or something similar and would allow the user to listen in a radio station style (eg popular tracks) to full albums or genres, random or whatever. They could jump around from track to track and have access to 1000's of albums without the need for storage. - ~phonicboom :)

Have you considered the Playstation Portable as device? It already features a web radio player that can be modified (using a third party radio module) to play songs from Jamendo.

If you know some javascript and some html, the task should be quite easy! - RexM

===Make dropdown to select the language of a review when you write one

Depending on my mood I sometimes write reviews in English or German. As I usually use the German interface some of my English reviews are displayed as "German". I'd like to have a way to fix this. - jamasi
: I found a way to fix reviews which were placed into a wrong language:
# switch the language of the interface to the language of the review
# edit the review (click on "you wrote that review")
# just resubmit it
After this the review will be put under the active language of the website's interface. - jamasi

===Possibility to send messages to all contacts without having to select them one by one

I'm often writing a single message to all of my contacts and the way it is right now it takes ages. I'd appreciate it if there was a Message to all contacts options. Thanks! -

I'd like to be able to find local music, searching by country provides a huge list.  Searching by city would be a great way to introduce people to bands they may be able to see and support live!

===JamPlayer - change "Played today"

Played today get's empty at midnight, which is a time i often listen to music. I'd like to have "today" mean the last 24 hours.

===Playlist - add single track

Include an "Add to playlist"  button for individual tracks. Adding an entire album then deleting 12 songs is a pain. It would make it much easier to create good mixed playlists. I believe it was in old version, should be an easy fix.

===Synchronize web player with Last.fm

How about the option to save our last.fm user/password and whenever we listen to a song with the jamendo web player, it would also show up on last.fm "recently listened" tracks.

===Allow more differenciated votes

I would like to give more detailed votes for albums. I'd like to vote for "production", "mastering", "innovation", "text", "vocals", ... those votes could be optional on reviews so you can give a detailed review if you feel like it.

===Tag by language nor by country

There are some groups that use minoritary languages, or not so minoritary languages such catalan, that has more speakers than greek. These groups must be tagged as spanish groups (and sometimes some of them fights against spain).

===Create a database of instruments

There are some instruments that are not in the jamendo database, old instruments for example, could be a great thing that users upload photos of their instruments, and get know these all over the world. There are very strange instruments in the world that people don't knows.

===Some mark for album

Need personalised view. If album is like user add this to his love album and some bad artist will be saved in trush list. This is need only two table black list and white list. Black list is hide artist who do stupid trash. And white list show at top list liked albums and new album of liked artist.

===Additional API options

Again I'm missing some features. As I am creating a virtual filesystem, it would be great to know the size of a track. I`m not looking for the tracklength, I need the real file size (for the mp3 or ogg). Would be nice to see such a option. - ~Lossveril

It could be cool, if searching by multiple tags was possible (e.g.: ambient+ melodic...).

===Site-Update

Sometimes there seems to be some delay between submitting reviews or writing a note to someone and the actual appearence on the site. As I do not know about the interal updating-process of the site's content I just think some short note after submission on that topic, especially for new user, could be helpful to keep people from resubmitting something because they think it wouldn't have worked out the first time.

===Fonera 2.0 plugin

Some months ago I saw a video by Sylvain Zimmer from Jamendo showing a Jamendo Radio plugin running on Fonera 2.0. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58z42iBnmrc ) Lately, nothing's been heard about that development. I wish Jamendo and Fon develop together this very useful app.

===Vorbis encoding

I think aoTuV codec should be updated to the brand new beta 5.7 (b5d) to get the latest updates. Put a "Surprise me" or "Play a random track" button somewhere, helping us discover totally new and diverse musics.

When you add an album to the playlist, this one is added arranged, for what the playlist is reproducing album for album. There would be interesting a random way of reproduction of the playlist

===Learn tags

Let user select how much they like or dislike a song. Learn user's favorite individual tags or tag combos and make suggestions.
